David Jaffe and Gabe Newell where my oh $hit moments in the Sony press conference. Nintendo didn't give me anything like that, but they had more games in my opinion. All in all, they both did great.

Some years I can be very opinionated about who "wins" these keynotes, but this year I could care less whether Nintendo or Sony won. They both gave gamers what they wanted, had few surprises, and showed us that there plenty of life in their platforms. Nintendo, Sony, and their gamers won.

Bungie also had a little bit more freedom this time since they are not trying to make Halo 4. All the loadout powers bring a breath fresh air to the franchise while maintaining highly refined controls of the past. Can't wait till it is released.

Very true. I find myself sometimes replaying the campaigns of the Halos. It's not the story that I play it for, but perfect refined controls and the just plain fun gameplay.

That was probably the game, else games like Socom 4 would be difficult to play.

Part of the reason there is no issue with DD on the iPhone is because there are no hard copies available. There has been no reason to by the digital version over the disk based besides some power saving and loading improvements. People feel like they are getting cheated out of something when are two versions.

Also, people aren't really attached to iPhone games, because they are more or less quick little throw away titles save for a few.

Exactly. I am hoping we will also hear about FFvXIII there also. I believe Insomniac has stated that they would like to have longer dev cycles now, so I kind of expected them not to be there this year.

I am not particularly fond racing games, but MotorStorm has the magic touch for me. Playing Pacific Rift with friends on the same console is great. There is nothing like running over and crushing your friend who always picks motorcycles. =)

Just an interesting tidbit, September 19th is only 3 days after the beginning of the Tokyo Game Show. This could be interesting if true.

You really got to love Miyamoto. Even after suffering through his unfortunate Zelda demonstration he still comes out joking.

Well, that's all they make. Sony, Nintendo, and Microsoft have to show off hardware their additionally.

Also, not everyone has an HD TV. Some have held off on replacing their main TV.

EDIT: N4G has been screwing up a lot lately. Multiple posts, not posting, ... I just got a message I have never seen before stating that something went wrong. Anyone else experiencing these issues?

It was kind of funny to see EA leaning towards the PS3 and Activision leaning towards Microsoft.

That's an obvious statement. Nobody has a 3DS.

The method that Microsoft is researching sounds like it suffers from similar limitations like the filter Nintendo is using. It may be good for one person, but many want to see 3D on a TV not just one.

Of course people would want glassesless 3d, but it is difficult when the TV requires multiple viewing angles along with the ability to have more than one person being able to watch. Sony's 3D push will hopefully garner enough consumer support so they pursue more research i...
